Spanish

Spanish was reintroduced to St Christopher's this year. Currently children in Years 3 - 6 enjoy learning it. Games, songs and stories feature in the lessons as well as Spanish culture. Several of the teachers speak Spanish and so are able to link the language and culture to other areas when relevant.

As Spanish becomes established throughout St Christopher's we hope to offer Years 7 and 8 a trip to the Fundacion at Comillas where they will follow a practical language course given by experts in this field. There will also be a 'hands-on visit' to the well known Altamira Caves. The wonderful wild life park near Santander could also figure on the itinerary.
