 Welcome to St Christopher's, a vibrant and academically successful IAPS preparatory school for 230 girls and boys aged 4 to 13, situated in the seaside city of Brighton & Hove. Our motto, 'Altiora Peto', accurately captures everything about our ethos and aims: St Christopher's pupils aspire to higher things.
Throughout its eighty-year history, our pupils have enjoyed an excellent track record of academic success at 13+ Common Entrance and Scholarship. Since 2007, they have been awarded between them a remarkable 78 Scholarships and Exhibitions, making St Christopher's one of the city's leading academic prep schools.
Outstanding teachers and a supportive, family-style learning environment help to create our distinctive reputation for academic excellence and outstanding pastoral care. There are many opportunities for competitive sport, an exciting diet of the creative and performing arts, and a variety of extra-curricular activities on offer. As Headmaster, I want St Christopher's pupils to be recognised for their attributes of hard work, courtesy and a genuine concern for the welfare of others.
St Christopher's School is a member of the Brighton College Family of Schools and the usual destination for our pupils at the age of 13. The firm academic foundations we seek to establish in our pupils are nurtured at Brighton College, described recently in The Times as 'One of England's leading schools'.
