The main points of entry to St Christopher's are at 4+ (Reception), 7+ (Year 3), 8+ (Year 4) or 11+ (Year 7). Places are occasionally available in other year groups.
Parents seeking a place for their son or daughter should first arrange an appointment to visit the School and meet the Headmaster up to a year in advance of the proposed date of entry.
20 places are available each year for pupils entering Reception (4+). Entry is non-selective at 4+ and places are usually available up to a year in advance. Priority will be given to siblings. In order to obtain a place on the 4+ list, parents should register their son or daughter for entry. Registration forms are contained within our prospectus and are available from the Admissions Secretary in the School Office.
Entry to the School at 7+ (Year 3), 8+ (Year 4) and 11+ (Year 7) are academically selective and prospective pupils sit an Entrance Examination in the January prior to entry. Prospective pupils are required to be registered for entry prior to the Entrance Examination. All candidates will be interviewed by the Headmaster. Academic Scholarships may be awarded to new pupils entering the School at 7+, 8+ or 11+ who demonstrate exceptional academic potential or musical, artistic, dramatic or sporting talent.
2010 Reception Entry
A few unexpected places are available for Reception entry in September 2010 due to registered families relocating. Please contact the Admissions Secretary on 01273 735404 for details.
Means-tested bursary awards are available each year in order to support families who may not otherwise be able to send their son or daughter to St Christopher's.
School fees include lunch, most extra-curricular activities, textbooks and stationery.
