Overview

IMG 4015Sport at St Christopher's centres on healthy competition, participation at all levels and, most importantly, enjoyment. All pupils gain an opportunity to represent the school and we often have over one hundered pupils from the Middle and Upper schools out on a fixture day.  Teamwork is a key element in our approach and this is reflected in a strong team spirit when our boys and girls play other schools.

Our teams experience success at every level and recent achievements included winning the Ashdown House Rugby Sevens tournament where the team only conceded one try in the whole day and one player received the award for best player at that event.

IMG 4602In the winter, our boys play football followed by rugby at Glebe Villas (our home ground) whilst our girls play hockey and netball.  Cricket and rounders follow in the Summer alongside athletics, and senior pupils also have the option of tennis or sailing and windsurfing at Hove Lagoon.

Lower School pupils play football, tag rugby or netball, uni-hoc, cricket, rounders and athletics at Glebe Villas in addition to their weekly PE lesson.

Sports awards are available for entry into Year 7.
