Welcome to St Christopher's. We are a vibrant and successful IAPS prep school in the heart of Hove. As you will see from the recent news pages, which give you a sample of what we have been doing in the last two weeks, we believe that a busy day is a good day so we keep ourselves pretty busy!

St Christopher's is distinguished by three things: we are a caring family environment, characterised by the personal greeting to each pupil from a member of staff as they arrive every morning and return home each evening; we provide an answer to children's insatiable thirst for knowledge through passionate, dedicated teaching staff who aim to get the best from all of the pupils they teach; we encourage development of the whole individual seeking to find and foster talent whether in the classroom, the Art room or the gym, on the dance floor, the stage or the sports field. At St Christopher's we seek for higher things, as our motto, 'altiora peto' suggests, and we believe that all children can and will excel at something.

St Christopher's is a traditional school with an upbeat, modern outlook. We are always looking to innovate whether in teaching Mandarin, in line with our parent institution Brighton College, designing an innovative new cross curricular language programme, introducing chances for boys and girls to play sport together as well as by gender or giving our children a chance to find new talents through the activities programme from Design and Technology to Fencing. Equally important, however, is our traditional belief that children learn the importance of kindness, good manners and natural curiosity whilst under our care.

Many and varied are the opportunities that St Christopher's has to offer but don't take my word for it or reckon on this website giving you anything but the briefest of snapshots into what the school can do for your child: call up and come and see us; meet with me and ask me anything you like; take a tour of the school with one of our current pupils and get a feel for our priorities.
