St Christopher’s School, though closed for its usual full timetable is still very much open for business. We have adapted our Admissions process to meet the needs of parents during this challenging time so that you may still plan for your child’s education.

We hope that our website, videos, social media, and prospectus give you a feel for the type of school we are and all that a St Christopher’s education has to offer. Once schools have reopened we will be delighted to show you around so that you can see us ‘in action’.

In the first instance, please get in touch with our Registrar, Natasha Everard; she can talk you through the admissions process.

Our Temporary Admissions Process

Step 1
Make an Enquiry & View Our Prospectus
Please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call 01273 716 853 to speak to Admissions. We will send you a digital copy of our prospectus and get in touch to discuss your particular circumstances.
Step 2
Meet the Headmaster on the telephone or on Zoom
Following an initial conversation we will then arrange a telephone call or a Zoom meeting, with the Headmaster, Julian Withers, to discuss the needs of your child and what St Christopher’s has to offer.
Step 3
Application & Assessment
If you would like to proceed with an application, you should then register your child with us by completing a registration form provided by the Registrar. For parents of pupils in Reception, a conversation with the Headmaster will be the most important part of the process as we cannot currently do our normal familiarisation events. There is no formal assessment for pupils joining us at 4+. Easing the transition to school for our youngest pupils is something that is very important to us and we hope to able to organise an event, if restrictions are lifted in time, later this term, to help with this.

For pupils from Year 1 to Year 3, we will most likely request a copy of your child’s latest school report and make a decision based largely, but not solely, on this.

For older pupils joining Year 4 and above we would request a copy of the most recent school report and reference from your child’s current school and also arrange for online assessments to be done before your child starts with us. These assessments help to inform our future teaching of them, giving us an idea of their strengths and areas in which they may need more support. Should schools not open before our next term in September, we hope to be able to offer a place based on conversations and reports, and then arrange assessments at a later stage.
