HEADMASTER’S REFLECTIONS ON THE WEEK

I thoroughly enjoyed lunch today with a group of Year 4 children. They were very forthcoming, highly personable and extremely polite. Several of them commented on how much they are enjoying their examinations. They said that ‘they were a little nervous beforehand but, that once they’d started them, they were really quite fun’, reminding me that it is often the perception rather than the reality or the actual process which causes worry.

Though the corridors have been quieter this week and the playground a little noisier, in every other sense life has continued undisrupted. There have been some super trips for Pre-Prep, to Wilderness Woods and Chichester Cathedral, some highly successful cricket matches, with our boys performing extremely well and some equally successful rounders matches. We have all got a little bit wet but the show has gone on as reports in this Newsletter show.

The last internal examinations take place on Monday and the children can then look forward to results, half term and a second half of term packed with drama, music, sport, trips and events, all listed in our Summer Term Calendar. Parents might want to plan their diaries.
