On Thursday Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the Harry Potter Studios and today Year 7 set off early for the annual trip to the Tower of London. Such trips are part of school life and enrich the learning experience as well as providing an opportunity for the children to enjoy the company of their friends.
The week has also seen some exciting cricket matches, girls and boys, an internal football competition for our youngest pupils, the introduction of ‘Mindful Mondays’, to include Mr Stead’s ‘Chair of Care’ and plenty of interest in the Scholastic Book Fair. Assembly on Thursday morning focussed on entries for Mrs Ferruzzi-Balbi’s extreme reading competition for which the children showed great enthusiasm.
On wishing you and your children a very good Bank Holiday weekend, I spare a thought for those who are sitting their Scholarship papers next week. They have worked jolly hard on revision and every one of them has made terrific progress over the year. I wish them all the best of luck with the examinations next week.
