Our annual Courtyard Carols event was a great success last Friday.

Yesterday I was at Glebe watching some excellent rugby from both Under 10A and Under 11A teams, despite the very muddy surface. There was good passing, incisive running and disciplined tackling on show, but my foremost impression was of boys relishing the sport. I am grateful to the parents who braved the weather to support. Our girls enjoyed an afternoon of Festive Netball at Southwick and I am told that they too thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon.

This morning in Celebration Assemblies we recognised significant achievements over the week that has passed and also over the term. Not all were mentioned by name, but many were. The awards were punctuated with musical intervals, with our Senior Choir singing ‘Silent Night’, our intermediate Choir singing ‘Walking in the Air’ and Junior Choir singing ‘Light Song’, a taste of things to come this afternoon. We also enjoyed ‘Merry Christmas Everybody’, led by our Year 6 Band and a whole school rendition, with actions, of ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’. Enthusiasm and excitement were palpable.

I look forward to seeing many of you at All Saints again this afternoon.  I would like to wish you and your families a Christmas full of joy.
