The clocks have gone back, the leaves are falling, and it’s nearly dark at home time; the start of a special time of year. The next five weeks are full of events to look forward to. Drama is very much to the fore, with Reception, Year 1, Year 4, and Year 5 all presenting plays before the end of term. Our choirs are already rehearsing for the Carol Service at All Saints on the last day of term, and our Courtyard Carols event that marks the start of Advent. There are lots of school trips arranged over the coming weeks, as well as competitions, charity events, and whole school occasions such as next week’s Remembrance.
From looking to the future, to reviewing the past. I am delighted to be able to share with you the latest edition of the St Christopher’s Yearbook, which celebrates everything we achieved as a community in the last academic year. Scholarship awards, sporting triumphs, drama performances, concerts, art exhibitions, and more are celebrated, along with a look at the truly amazing list of places we visited beyond our red gates to enrich our learning (and have lots of fun). As you will see from the pictures of last year’s Leavers when they were in Reception, which are always a highlight, the opening words of our School Hymn ring true: From smallest acorns grow great trees. I hope you enjoy looking back on a year in the life of our school, and seeing what lies ahead for your children.
A reminder that next Friday is our next Open Morning; please share this date with anyone you think would like to find out more about our school, they are very welcome to come and visit us.
