Brighton College

Brighton College is one of Britain’s leading schools. The College was given the coveted title of School of the Decade by The Sunday Times in 2020. In their Independent Schools Guide, widely acknowledged as the most authoritative survey of the top schools in the country, The Sunday Times names Brighton College as “one of the hottest tickets in independent education.”

The editor of the Schools Guide said that “in the course of the past 10 years, Brighton has become the leading co-educational independent school in the country. Under the excellent headship of Richard Cairns for the past 14 years, the school is progressive in outlook and the children are taught kindness and respect for one another.

The teaching body at Brighton College ranks among the best in England. Every year, more and more of Brighton’s pupils secure places at the UK’s most esteemed universities, particularly Oxford and Cambridge. The College’s former pupils number amongst Britain’s foremost business, professional and political leaders; they entrance the nation with their sporting, creative and artistic talent; they are busy shaping the future for generations to come.

As a Brighton College School we have a very close relationship with the College, and many of our pupils leave St Christopher’s to attend the senior school. We benefit hugely from this relationship with the College, through the sharing of knowledge and best practice as well as the use of facilities and termly visits for events and lectures. The relationship between us and the Brighton Family of Schools is an advantage to every St Christopher’s pupil, regardless of whether or not they go on to Brighton College as their senior school.
