School Trips

From Reception upwards, a comprehensive programme of trips and visits enriches and enhances the children's learning. Each year group goes on one major expedition per term, with visits arranged to tie in with curriculum topics, such as Reception visiting a farm to develop their work on animals, Year 2 visiting a synagogue, or Year 6 visiting Bodiam Castle after studying siege warfare in History. Our children travel abroad from a young age, with Year 4 visiting France for the day, and Year 6 going on a weekend residential to Normandy. Year 8 start their final year with a teambuilding weekend under canvas, helping them to develop both their friendships and skills above and beyond academic life. A very popular Ski Trip is run each year, with both beginners and the more experienced welcome.

Below is a video from the recent Year 8 residential to Dorset, which combined Geography work on coastlines with a visit to a First World War museum to give context to their study of Journey's End in English.
